The Shire of Wandering provides a number of services to its community.

Australia Post agency

Australia Post provides a mail service on a daily basis.

Department of Transport agency

For vehicle and boat registrations.

Bureau of Meteorology

Weather readings are now carried out hourly by a new automatic weather station to the west of Wandering. Readings are available from the Bureau's WEB site - www.bom.gov.au.

Household rubbish collection

Collected weekly on Tuesdays for the Wandering townsite.

Fire Control

The issue of wild fire is taken very seriously in the Shire of Wandering. Detailed obligations and requirements are placed on all land owners to minimise the risk of fires. A pamphlet titled Fire Control, which sets out these requirements and contact details for the Fire Officers, is available. Click here to download.

Shire Notes

Produced by the Shire Staff approximately once per month through the year. The Notes are displayed on the Shire Office window, given to the Wandering TeleCentre for reproduction in the Wandering Echo, provided to the local media for news stories on Wandering and directly faxed to those residents who have requested this service.

Produced yearly. The information in the book is dependant on the provision of the information by locals. Please advise the Wandering Telecentre of telephone, facsimile and mobile numbers for inclusion.
