The Western Australian Electoral Commission is seeking motivated Returning Officers to run local government elections in October 2023 across Regional WA. The role of a Returning Officer is a part-time paid position, commencing in August and concluding at the end of October 2023.
They are looking for people who are highly organised with an eye for detail, have well developed community and project management skills and care about the local community and its future.
Previous experience working on elections is desirable but not necessary as full training and support for the successful person will be provided. Returning Officers cannot have active or official involvement with any candidate and must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to undertake this role.
