The Shire of Wandering is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the CEO to play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Executive Officer, Shire President and Council.
This is a unique local government role that combines high‑level executive support, an understanding of governance coordination, records management and leadership of customer service operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high‑level executive and secretariat support to the CEO, Shire President and Councillors.
- Coordinating Council and Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes and governance registers.
- Managing records systems and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Supervising and supporting customer service staff and administration operations.
- Assisting with human resources processes, including recruitment, inductions and performance appraisals.
- Supporting governance, compliance and reporting obligations across the organisation.
- Representing the Shire with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
