Community Groups & Services

Wandering Playgroup

Watts Street, WANDERING

Playgroup is a community group for parents or guardians who have young children under school age (birth to school age). Playgroup is a huge benefit not only to children but parents as well. It creates a support network for parents with young children and it gives children an opportunity to develop social skills and interact with other young children. Playgroup is about playing and learning, meeting other parents, becoming part of the local community, and having fun.

Our local Wandering Playgroup has been going for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on our fantastic community spirit. Living in a rural town, we understand the vital importance of socialising with other people and just getting out of the house especially with young children at home. Playgroup is a great way to meet people and establish a place in the local community. Wandering Playgroup has a wonderful facility at the CWA room on Watts Street and we get together once a week and have a cuppa, while watching the children play and participate in arts and crafts projects. We welcome any new members at any time during the year. Please drop in for a visit if you are thinking of joining and we can provide you with any information that you may need.

Wandering Playgroup meets every Thursday 9:00am at the CWA Room.
(No Playgroup sessions are held during school holidays)

COMMUNITY NOTICE BOARD 📌📌📌

Do you have information about your community group or local business, or an event that you would like to promote? We would love you to drop a flyer in to the Shire admin office to be put on the community notice board.

The notice board, between the Admin office and the CRC, has undergone a transformation and is much easier to see and access now.

Please make sure you put a contact name and phone number on the back of your flyer, as well as the date that you are dropping it off 😀
