The Shire of Wandering is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our friendly Administration team on a part-time basis (38 hours per fortnight).
In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for a mix of finance and front-line customer service duties. Your day might include processing payroll, reconciling bank accounts, managing purchase orders, or assisting residents at the front counter—including Australia Post services and Council-related enquiries.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who brings:
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business—or at least 2 years of experience in a similar local government role.
- Sound knowledge of accounting practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SynergySoft (or a willingness to learn).
