What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with the CEO to deliver statutory and financial management reports.
- Managing banking transactions, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Processing assets, plant and associated transactions.
- Coordinating day-to-day financial operations.
- Leading audit preparation and ensuring compliance.
- Supporting and guiding the finance team with general accounting expertise.
- Providing backup support across finance and front counter services, including Australia Post.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll bring:
- A strong understanding of Local Government finance functions, standards and legislation.
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business—or at least 2 years of experience in a similar local government role.
- A sharp eye for detail, a love for numbers, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
